Hate wrapping for Christmas? Get all the work done for you AND support a really good cause. University staff are offering to wrap your Christmas presents in exchange for a donation for the Emergency Student Hardship Fund.

Please register an APPROXIMATE number of presents which you would like wrapped, on a particular day in the last fortnight before Christmas. We don't mind if you end up bringing a few more or less. Please drop off your presents at the beginning of your time slot in The Christie Building and pick them up an hour later all wrapped up beautifully.

We will be running the event between Monday 12th December and Thursday 22nd December.

We'll be taking donations in a bucket when you pick up your wrapped presents, but we suggest 50p per present. All donations will go to the Emergency Student Hardship Fund, which makes grants to students who find themselves in sudden financial difficulty through no fault of their own, and allows them to continue their studies at Manchester.

Is wrapping paper provided?

Yes, but if you have specific wrapping paper which you would like us to use, please feel free to bring it along.

What can I bring to be wrapped?

Don't bring bicycles - how are you going to get that on the bus?? Most things wrapped within reason, contact supporters@manchester.ac.uk if you're not sure

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes, or if you want to give your slot to a friend or colleauge, that's fine too.

How will I know what's inside my wrapped parcels?

We will put a post-it note with the contents of the present on the outside of each one. So as not to reveal that you didn't wrap them yourself, we'll leave the gift tags or labels to you.
