About this Event
As a business this will be a great opportunity to find out more about the work done by the voluntary sector and how you can get involved and become a socially active business!
As an organisation in the voluntary and community sector it can be quite daunting & even time-consuming approaching SMEs to partner with. We hope you can attend our networking event where you will have the opportunity to promote your work and meet businesses who want to find out more about what you do and how they can get involved.
Through this networking event, YTKO aims to grow value by bringing together local community and voluntary organisations with SME businesses to work together successfully for mutual growth opportunities. The benefits for not-for-profits linking in with businesses are:
- Increased visibilty leading to increase in footfall, potential volunteers and more impact for local community
- Increased awareness of your cause leading to an increase in fundraising
- Cost savings and building resilience
- Access to skill-sets and Pro-Bono support
- Employment and Training opportunities for local people
- Imporved facililities or services
- Recruitment of regular volunteers and trustees
The benefits to businesses of linking with local voluntary and community organisations are:
- Increase your customer retention,
- Develop and enhance relationships with customers, suppliers and networks,
- Attract, retain and maintain a happy workforce and be an Employer of Choice,
- Differentiate yourself from competitors,
- Score higher in your tender submission
- Generate positive publicity and media opportunities due to media interest in ethical companies.
New research shows us SMEs that give more than 0.5 per cent turnover are 20 per cent more likely to see an increase in profits, twice as likely to report benefits to company reputation, and almost 50 per cent more likely to improve recruitment and staff retention. Overall, 67 per cent of businesses who give to charity reported a positive impact on profitability.
‘88% of consumers said they were more likely to buy from a Company that supports and engages in activities to improve society’.
