Description

A deep dive session on learning online practice for great facilitation and training online. We will explore how to run brilliant meetings, increase participation and how to to deal with barriars to online learning. We will also share top tools to use to make your online practice even better.

Please only book onto this session if you have attended a Zoom call before, and are aware of how to access the mute, hands up, poll and breakout room functions. You don’t need to be a pro at using Zoom, but we won’t be teaching you in this session how to use the platform. If you are still new to Zoom, try out one of our “Getting to know Zoom” sessions or book in a 1:1 with one of our digital champions.

We will cover

- Setting up your meeting

- Sharing best practise on good facilitation

- Translating best practise online

- Making the most of Zoom

This session is for people who have attended our getting to know zoom session or are already familiar with the platform and want to deepen their practise.

Local Trust's mission is to enable residents to make their own communities and their areas better places in which to live.

Local Trust was established in 2012 to deliver Big Local, a National Lottery Community Fund-funded programme which committed £1m each to 150 neighbourhoods across England. The £217m originally provided by The National Lottery Community Fund to support this programme is the largest single-purpose Lottery-funded endowment ever made, and the biggest ever investment by a non-state funder in place-based, resident-led change.

In terms of scale, time horizon and ethos, nothing like Big Local has ever existed. Designed from the outset to be radically different from other funding programmes, at the heart of Big Local is a vision of empowered, resilient, dynamic, asset-rich communities making their own decisions on what is best for their area. In 2019, half way into delivering Big Local, we reported on what we have learned so far.
