Getting Investment Ready
Event Information
About this Event
Sistr has teamed up with Seedrs's Katherine Gilroy as part of our Covid Campaign, supporting working women, to help you on your investment adventure. AND we're going to have a real life example from &SISTERS' founder Claire Lettice, who is raising money for her business right now.
Launching and growing a business is a huge achievement sistr, respect! You've put in the hours and have the success to show for it. You may now be at the stage where you need the backing and expertise of investors. But how do you meet them? How do you learn to speak their language and how do you know that they're a match made in heaven for you and your business? Well, we've got just the webinar to help you out.
Katherine has plenty of experience working with founders and start-ups and she's going to share her top tips to help you make those big decisions with confidence and get investment ready! Claire is a real life, living breathing founder who is going through the fundraising process in real time. You can pick both of their brains and ask questions throughout the session.
If you're not already part of the amazing sistr community join us for free here.

- Crowdfunding? Momentum is king
- How she did it - Katherine's favourite stories for some sistr inspiration

About Katherine
Katherine began her career as a corporate lawyer, helping founders and start-ups to grow their businesses, before taking a leap and joining Seedrs earlier this year.
Now her role is to source early stage businesses for the Seedrs investor audience, working with entrepreneurs from the very beginning of their fundraising journey, and helping them to undergo a successful fundraising round. She advises businesses on how to strategise their investment rounds to help them market and scale their business and build out a community of brand evangelists. She loves seeking out exciting and innovative seed-stage businesses, and particularly enjoys working with 'tech for good' businesses and those with diverse founding teams.
Her favourite Seedrs campaign is Nc'Nean - a female led, organic whisky distillery powered by renewable energy!

About Claire
Claire is an experienced marketer and brand strategist with over 30 years experience. Past experience includes working across large multi-nationals as well as start-ups. As the name suggests, there is more than one woman behind the company. &SISTERS is the brainchild of daughter and mother duo Lucy and Claire. Having experienced, first-hand, the shame and hardship that comes with lack of access to safe period products, they decided to take action. Drawing on Claire’s entrepreneurial background and Lucy’s expertise as a buyer, they dreamt up a model for a new kind of conscious period product - one that was kind to women’s bodies, kind to the planet and could genuinely contribute to the fight against period poverty.
