NCL Technology Ventures (NCL) are delivering 2 days of workshops for academics and your research teams to help you understand how to spin-out a company and raise investment for your new business.

NCL Technology Ventures is a specialist technology investor which has backed some of the most promising technology companies and has a wealth of experience in developing market leading businesses. SMEs that complete the SE-IP programme will be considered for investment from NCLs Technology Fund.

Over the course of 2 days you will learn:

The stages of investment: seed through to exit
What future investors will require from you
How to develop a compelling business case
How to prepare for investor scrutiny
How to plan your approach to market

Day 2: Investment Readiness

What to prepare for the investment process
How to conduct technology, commercial, sales and market analysis
Regulation/IP/delivery/scalability/financial considerations
Team/legal/accounting/governance considerations
How to raise investment and communicate effectively

This is a one-off opportunity, offered as part of NCL’s 3-year South-East Innovation Programme which aims to encourage medical innovation within the South-East Local Enterprise Partnership (SELEP) area in partnership with Maidstone Borough Council (MBC). The programme is part funded by the European Union Regional Development Fund 2014 – 2020.
