Description

We are holding these events to showcase the methodology behind the national Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) Emergency Medicine (EM) programme and to provide a full understanding of the GIRFT EM datapacks.


Events will take place in the following locations:

  • London - 17 September, 19 September
  • Newcastle - 18 September
  • Taunton - 24 September
  • Nottingham - 25 September
  • Norwich - 3 October
  • Manchester - 15 October


This event will focus on demand and capacity, patient flow, outcomes, productivity, and finance. The programme for the day will consist of the following:

  • what are the GIRFT EM national metrics and why
  • what do these indicate at the regional level
  • how can using the metrics inform operational decisions and resource allocation
  • promoting Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) within each trust


The event will start at 10am (registration from 9.30am) and finish by 4.30pm.
