Getting it Right For Every Child & the Named Person
Mon 10 April 2017, 09:30 – 12:30 BST
Ronnie Hill, Associate Director, Health and Social Care Alliance will lead this training and information session on GIRFEC and the Named Person.
GIRFEC is the national approach in Scotland to improving outcomes and supporting the wellbeing of our children and young people by offering the right help at the right time from the right people. It supports them and their parent(s) to work in partnership with the services that can help them.
It puts the rights and wellbeing of children and young people at the heart of the services that support them to ensure that everyone works together to improve outcomes for a child or young person. It is relevant to everyone who works with children, young people and families.
This half-day training covers GIRFEC values and principles, GIRFEC Approaches; the Named Person service; Wellbeing; Child’s Plans and What GIRFEC means for people working with Children and Young People including those with disabilities or living with long term conditions.
