Event description
Getting ready to re-open after the current lockdown? How to do it safely and comply with regulations

About this Event

Free to Kingston voluntary organisations: £30 for neighbouring boroughs

Max: of 20 participants and max of two people per organisation.

Please note that following the session, participants will be welcome to contact the trainer directly at any time afterwards with questions that may be relevant to their own specific circumstances.

With the latest Covid-19 Lockdown regulations in place, you may be thinking about how you can adhere to Government guidelines in order to safely re-open in future.

Find out how to adapt your organisation to these changing circumstances, at this online session which has been specially tailored to the needs of small voluntary organisations.

With the current restrictions, we now have new Government guidance for how voluntary organisations can open their doors, and the session will incorporate this.

The first half of the session will provide information on your Health and Safety responsibilities as a voluntary sector employer, in the context of Covid 19, including the risk assessment approach towards working in different environments such as offices, community facilities, face to face working and personal risk amongst others.

The second half will be devoted to questions and answers with an opportunity for participants to engage with the trainer on all of these issues and any others that may arise.

Outline of the session:

• Understanding your legal responsibilities in health and safety to achieve compliance

• Current Covid 19 safety legal requirements and advice

• Key safety issues facing charities and voluntary organisations during the pandemic

• Methodology and the risk assessment approach

• Your way forward to achieve compliance.

The course will be delivered by Steve Bennett. Steve is the Director of Safety Delivery, a locally-based consultancy and training company which offers a full range of health and safety training courses for managers and employees. Consultancy services include health & safety compliance advice, risk assessments, audits, reviews and comprehensive safety packages.
