This course is perfect for anyone who wants to start using Grid, our flagship AAC software for people with disabilities.
About this event
In this three hour online training, we'll explore how to get set up with Grid for Windows and the basics of using symbol and text AAC. This workshop is designed for beginners so no prior knowledge is needed.
You'll take a tour of settings and the main text and symbol vocabularies available in Grid, learn basic editing and get an overview of accessible apps.
The workshop will be delivered online in a small group. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions.

It is important that you have Grid installed and working prior to the session. Please do this in advance, allowing enough time to contact our support team if you encounter any issues.

Do I need any prior knowledge of Grid to attend? No prior knowledge required - the workshop is designed for beginners.
Does the day include a free training copy of Grid? No, our online training does not include a Grid 3 licence.
Will there be breaks? Yes, we will build in comfort breaks throughout the session to allow you to get a drink and take a break from the screen..
What happens if I can't make it? Please let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend for any reason so we can fill your place.
How will I receive joining instructions? Joining instructions, including a link to Microsoft Teams will be sent to you automatically through Eventbrite seven days before the workshop is due to take place. If you have registered with less than seven days to go until the workshop, you will be sent the joining instructions again 24-hours in advance, and a reminder will be sent 30-minutes in advance.
