About this event

Service users can provide unique insight into what works to sustainably tackle social issues. With growing interest in this area, this seminar will seek to address how social sector organisations can begin to leverage the knowledge of current or previous service users in the design, delivery and management of services, products and strategies.

Drawing on diverse knowledge from a selection of speakers, the seminar will address questions such as:

  • How can we involve service users in a meaningful and ethical way?
  • When is the right time to involve service users?
  • What approaches can be taken to involve service users?

NPC have a growing interest in user led approaches. In 2016 we published a paper on User Voice, in partnership with Keystone Accountability, which proposed a framework for integrating the voice of users into impact practice. More recently we have published a guide on User Mapping in the social sector, which has been informed by two user led projects which we are currently running.
