Getting Started With… Writing

This session is intended for teachers who require an introduction to key aspects of the Midlothian Reading Progression (e.g. teachers new to Midlothian, teachers wanting a refresh).

This session is intended to signpost key areas within the progression and give practical suggestions on how you can use these to support your planning.

Session aims:

● To familiarise yourself with some of the main parts of the Midlothian Reading Progression.

● To understand some national and local key messaging on reading.

● To understand how the Midlothian Reading Progression should be used to support your classroom practice.

Please note, if you are a primary NQT in session 25/26 this content will be covered within your core sessions.
