Description

Course Content

As therapists and supervisors we are aware of the importance of recognising the transference and countertransference in the therapeutic relationship. Knowing how to interpret it and work with it can be a more perplexing problem.

When we understand more about how to use it productively, the countertransference can provide us with a very rich seam of information and knowledge about the client and their process. This course is aimed at counsellors, therapists and supervisors who want to increase their knowledge of how to interpret and work with countertransference phenomena.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course participants will have a model for understanding the clinical relevance of countertransference phenomena and will have explored a variety of options for how to work with countertransference phenomena. The aim of the course is to develop clinical thinking and clinical skills.

About the trainer
