Description

Attention STEM early career researchers: two interactive sessions to explore the pitfalls and challenges in communicating statistics from your research to non-specialists and the public.

With Dr Rebecca Goldin, Director of STATS and Professor of Mathematics at George Mason University; Emilie Marcus, Editor-in-Chief of Cell; Trevor Butterworth, Executive Director for Sense About Science USA and former journalist; and Dr Christopher Labos, cardiologist at McGill University. Chaired by Tracey Brown, Director of Sense about Science.

A Sense About Science USA and Sense about Science free event, in colaboration with Cell Press.

Download a pdf of the agenda.

We're also running Numbers in the news: a public conversation with Dr Rebecca Goldin in the evening at the same venue.
