Using a range of live specimens you will be introduced to the key conifer species found in the British Isles. We will begin the day familiarising you with key terminology and structures which are used to identify species, then put that knowledge into practice via a site visit to Lynford Arboretum.
Course Learning Objectives:
- Become familiar with terminology describing the botanical features of conifers
- Examine live specimens and locate those key features
- Use a range of keys and identification guides to help in the identification process
