Description

In light of the new GCSE Science grading system, we have invited Sarah Old from Ofqual to discuss tiering, grade boundaries and comparable outcomes.

As an ex-science teacher herself, Sarah Old, Senior Manager in the Standards Team, responsible for the science A Levels and GCSE's for Ofqual, has some experience at the chalk face. More recently, she has been involved in the development of these qualifications and is now evaluating the reform programme as the first awards have been made.

Agenda for the afternoon:

1.00pm - 1.30pm - Light Lunch and networking

1.30pm - 3.30pm - Getting to Grips with the new GCSE Science Grades

3.30pm - 3.45pm - Tea and coffee break

*the remainder of the session will be for Nottingham City Heads of Science*

3.45pm - 4.15pm - Philip Burton - Senior Principal Analyst from Daisi - talking to Nottingham City Heads of Science about question level analysis on the 2017 Science GCSE's.

4.15pm - 5pm - Questions, Networking and Finish.
