Do you feel that you’re missing out on the social media revolution? Are you frightened by Facebook? Troubled by Twitter? Harassed about hashtags? Do you want to be able to keep up with family and friends online but not sure where to start?
This intensive one day workshop will give you a beginner’s overview of two of the biggest social media platforms, Facebook and Twitter. We’ll look at how to post and share, how to upload photos and how to find the people you want to connect with. The rule for the day is 'there is no such thing as a stupid question’ so it’s your chance to ask the questions that have been bothering you but you weren’t sure who to ask.
Attendees are asked to bring a laptop, tablet or smart phone with them so they can try things for themselves with the trainer’s guidance. You’ll be asked to sign up to Facebook and Twitter in advance of the day - basic instructions will be provided!
The course is ideal for those who have not used social media before or who have set up a profile but are not sure what to do with it or how to make the most of it.
About the trainer: Steve Bustin is a long-time friend of The Garden House and has run his very popular social media courses with us many times. He’s a communication and presentation specialist, a former BBC journalist and admits spending more time than is probably healthy on social media. More details on www.stevebustin.com.
