Event description
An opportunity to translate and explore the ACE's Quality Principles in your offer to children and young people, in this current climate.

About this Event

IVE’s popular and highly successful Quality Principles support programme is launching digitally! The programme offers you the opportunity to translate and explore the Arts Council’s Quality Principles in your offer to children and young people.

In the current climate, we’ve found that the seven Quality Principles offer a useful framework for thinking through responses to the dilemmas ahead, providing the perfect opportunity to slow down, stop, and consider the responses that we are all being asked to make very quickly.

In using the Quality Principles as a reflection tool to consider approaches going forward, there is an opportunity to talk about how we can really make our work ‘authentic’ when we are creating online content, ‘actively involving children and young people’ who can’t get online, considering what ‘providing a sense of personal progression’ might look like in the long term, and deep dive into creative evaluation and the current pressures many of us face to ‘measure the impact’ of what is happening.

The course details are as follows:

Course Title: Getting to Grips with the Arts Council's Quality Principles

Course Description: Via Zoom, our structured support programme allows you work alongside peers in the arts and culture sector to:

• Identify an area of your current practice where you’d like to actively explore one or more of the quality principles.

• Create shared space and time for you to critique and share the ways in which you monitor, review and reflect on the impact of your work.

• Identify and reflect upon the changes in practice that this brings about and consider how to embed new practice/thinking.

• Share your journeys more widely at an event for other arts and cultural organisations across the region.

Course Date and Times:

The programme consists of 4 x 2 hour monthly group sessions taking place via Zoom, 1.00pm-3.00pm, and a final open sharing event in person:
