Event description

Description

The Archive service acts as the corporate memory of the Council - a memory that stretches back some 800 years, and is recognised by UNESCO because of its status as the oldest and most complete set of records of any Scottish town.

The Archive is more than simply a cultural resource and is used to support a multitude of current projects and enquiries.

This one hour tour will give you an opportunity to see the stunning Charter Room, to find out more about the history of the Council and how the Archive can support your role
