Congratulations! You are thinking about talking to retailers, which means you have built a great brand and feel more people need to know about it, and what better way than to get someone else to sell your product for you.

Taking your product to retailers and getting them to see the passion and belief you have in your product can be daunting. And once you’ve made the deal, how do you make sure you stay on the shelf?

This workshop isn’t just about what to say in front of a buyer, although this is covered, but also how you get your business and product range retailer ready, to ensure you stay relevant and resilient in a very competitive industry. 

 This workshop will give you:

  1. 3 free templates that you can implement into your business immediately
  2. The tools and confidence to sell your brand
  3. Guidance on how your business should operate ‘behind the scenes’

 We will cover:

  • What you need for the buyers - the 3 C’s (there are a load more c’s but these will do for now)
    • Understanding your category, your competition and customer,
  • Ranging suitable for retailers
    • Not all of your products will be suitable for retailers, knowing how to select which ones are best and make this work to our advantage
  • Retailer packaging considerations
    • This is a minefield at the moment so we will unpick some of the considerations you need to think about
  • Costings (another C)
    • This is the single most important thing you will do - which is why it appears in all my workshops and content! If you don’t know how much your products cost, how do you know how much to sell them for?
  • What you need to stay ahead
    • Once you’ve got your listing, you need to stay there. Running a tight ship, knowing what’s coming and what to do about it will keep you ahead of the game, make your business look professional and reliable, and someone the retailers will want to grow

You should attend if you are:

  • Ready to start talking to retailers – either national, regional or niche such as Planet Organic or Selfridges
  • Your business is at a crossroads and you need to decide if retailers are the right next step for you
  • You have a ‘meet the buyer’ session coming up or a meeting with a buyer in the diary
  • You’re ready to go ahead and pitch but want a confidence boost to know you’re on the right track

As all businesses are different and will have unique questions and challenges, spaces are limited to 6, to ensure that everyone gets the most out of the session, 

The workshop will be held at the beautiful Old Bond Store, 10am -1pm, with refreshments provided afterwards, giving us more time to chat about your business and your journey (business, not how you’re getting home!).

The location is in the centre of Southampton, and easy to get to by car, train or bus.
