Start of ghost hunt.

The main event will include small groups given access to the venue with the opportunity to investigate. There will be the opportunities to try out experiments such as EVP, Estes Method, Spirit boards...

10:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Closing down

This will be a time for last minute investigations where individuals can choose the equipment and locations they liked the most, there will also be a spiritual cleansing available for all who chose. ...

About this event

  • Event lasts 4 hours

The Guildhall was built around 1470 by the Guild of the Holy Trinity to house a Guild of priests and to provide a schoolroom for the boys of the village. The Guildroom has been used for a place of learning for more than five centuries. Recent restoration work has exposed scorch marks on the timbers of the Guildroom where priests attached wax tapers to light their studies at night. The building fell into disrepair and, following the second world war, attempts were made to restore the site. Unfortunately inappropriate materials were used, and architectural details were covered up. In 2008 the Finchingfield Guildhall trust was formed to save the site from dereliction. After several years bidding for funding, the build started in earnest in 2011. Expert craftsmen were employed using ancient techniques, and local materials were sourced.

All of this makes it an excellent place for a ghost hunt!

We always make sure that our guests have real scientific equipment, no pendulums or dowsing rods, and with small groups guaranteed , this guest led event is one to remember. There will be paranormal experiments, EVP trials, group or lone vigils and opportunities to explore this amazing venue which includes the graveyard.

We, at Haunting Ghost Hunts, are on a mission to provide the ghost hunt you really want. We have small groups with real equipment, not rooms packed with people all holding a pendulum you cannot even see in the dark. We don't insist on anyone doing anything they don't want to, you are all over 18 so why should we insist on everyone participating in a spirit board if you don't want to, and we don't fake it to make it a scary experience. Our hunts are about exploring the unknown, exploring the venue and exploring the evidence. We all want to experience a paranormal event (that's what we, and you, are here for) but we wont pretend something is happening if it isn't and we are happy to share what we find with you directly, just ask. If you are looking for a ghost hunt that's about authenticity rather than profit, try us. You wont be disappointed.
