This huge prison is one of most sought after prisons in the UK and is one not to be missed! This building has seen many thousands of inmates over the years and has been witness to brutal treatment, murders, hangings, suicides and beatings. Many sad and angry souls are said to haunt the wings that are daunting, creepy and foreboding. Full bodied apparitions, are frequently seen and reports of a trapped spirit that reportedly took his own life for fear of punishment from the other inmates presents himself in different forms. An infamous 'shadow man' is said to have died and been spotted on a number of occasions walking around the wings and surprising unsuspecting guests.
A grey lady is also said to walk the creepy corridors, she is said to be the a young georgian girl that is often seen sitting on the steps.
Doors slam of their own accord, unexplained shouts and talking. Its an investigators dream!
