The Girls Human Rights Hub Activist Programme is a five-days, online programme designed to equip participants with the skills, knowledge, and networks to advocate effectively for girls' human rights. Each session includes a focused talk, a practical exercise, and a group discussion to foster active engagement and learning. Ensuring that every girl has access to quality education is crucial for societal progress.

Programme Overview:

Duration: 5 days (One session a week)

Format: Each day, a 90-minute session will consist of:

  • 45-minute talk from an expert
  • 20-minute exercise
  • 25- minutes discussion
  • Delivered online to enable participants from all over the world to attend.

Participants: students, young professionals, and advocates (ages 12-24).


Topics

Day 1: Foundations of Advocacy and Ethics

Talk: Introduction to advocacy and its importance in advancing girls' human rights. Ethical principles and global frameworks like the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Exercise: Participants map out a girls’ rights issue in their community or region, identifying ethical considerations.

Discussion: Share findings and explore how local challenges connect to global advocacy.
