Event description

Description

Giacomo Susani, Italian winner of the prestigious Julian Bream Scholarship will play a demanding programme ranging from well-known classical guitar favourites to a dramatic piece written especially for him by Polish guitar composer Marek Pasiecszny inspired by four works in the Tate Gallery which received its world premier in March 2018. A graduate of the Conservatorio Arrigo Pedrollo in Vicenza and the Royal Academy of Music he won First Prize in the London International Guitar Competition.

Works by William Walton, Piazzola, Granados and even Henry Mancini complete the evening's eclectic mix. This summer evening concert in two halves includes an informal drinks reception to meet the artist. This performance is supported by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust who in 2017 awarded Giacomo Susani their highest Star Award.
