Implications of Brexit: Navigating the Evolving Free Trade Agreement Landscape
February 6 & 7, 2017
Location: Commonwealth Secretariat, Delegates Lounge. Marlborough House, Pall Mall. London SW1Y 5HX, United Kingdom
We particularly welcome paper proposals addressing these questions from diverse disciplinary approaches (Economics, Politics, and Law) and methodological positions.
Marking the end of the ESRC seminar series GIFTA ‘Transformations in Global Governance: Integration via Free Trade Agreements’, this workshop aims to bring together academics and practitioners to exchange knowledge on how free trade agreements operate, and how lessons from past agreements and developments may influence upcoming Brexit negotiations. We welcome papers focusing on the following matters:
- The role, interests and dynamics of the EU as a trade negotiator
- The implementation of EU FTAs and market and social effects of these agreements
- Interests and sensitivities in trade agreements with emerging markets
Please note that registration for the workshop is free, however, we will not be able to provide any travel or other financial assistance to conference participants.
