Gill health workshop
The threats to gill health are both numerous and complex, arising from an intricate interplay of environment, pathogens and fish biology.
This focused workshop, hosted by SAIC, seeks to encourage dialogue on the priorities for innovation: from diagnosis and management, to husbandry and technology.
Hear from a strong line-up of speakers, including:
Karin Pittman, University of Bergen, who will be discussing mucosal health
Hamish Rodger, Fish Vet Group, who will be summarising the effects of the gill health challenge.
There will then be the opportunity to contribute your own ideas during our break-out sessions, the insights from which will later be shared with the full group.
They will also help further inform SAIC of industry needs in this area, shaping a call for Expressions of Interest in co-funded projects that seek to address gill health-related issues.
Registration opens at 11:00, where coffee will be served. The event starts at 11:30 sharp and will run until 16:30, with lunch provided. There’s free visitor parking on-site. For details, or for directions, click here.
