Description

Calling lovers of all things Juniper, let the fun beGIN!

Join us between 12 and 4pm on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th May for a celebration of the best spirit, gin. With so many wonderful local distilleries and a great range further afield, this weekend is a chance to meet the makers, sample their wares and sip a variety of artisan gin & tonics from our pop up bar.

Signed up already to bring their gin to the party are local spirit makers, Cotswold Distillery’s Dry Gin, Bramley and Gage’s 6 o’clock Gin and William Chase’s GB Extra Dry Gin. Created down the road in Shipston-on-Stour, Cotswold distillery only travels a mere 24miles into the store. Last year was a great year for one of Britain’s smallest distilleries. Not only did their hugely popular fish bowl G&Ts cause a stir at last year’s Cheltenham Food and Drink Festival, but their Dry Gin was voted ‘The Best London Dry Gin’ in the World Gin Awards 2016.

Bristol-based Bramley & Gage have been family-run liqueur makers since the mid-1980s, but 2010 saw the launch of their ever-popular 6 o’clock gin and tonic range. Made in Kathleen, a 200l copper pot still, and boasting botanicals including coriander, orange peel and elderflower, it’s no wonder the London Dry Gin has picked up prizes at the Cotswold Artisan Drinks Awards and Great Taste Awards Top 50 in 2016.

Herefordshire boy, William Chase started life as a potato farmer, founding the popular brand Tyrrell’s Crisps back in 2001. His itchy feet led him to experiment with making vodka from his potatoes, launching a range of spirits and a beautiful rosé wine in 2008. Over the years, he has refined his process to produce a sustainable gin with real pedigree, using cider in a biodynamic conversion.

The organic and natural store will also be welcoming in Gin-makers from the length of the country with London-based Portabello Road Gin, Blackwoods Vintage Gin which features hand-picked Shetland botanicals, and Scottish distilleries, Strathearn and Eden Mill, with more to be confirmed.
