The Boathouse & Chandelier Bar are delighted to hold a fundraising event for the Ebb and Flow Atlantic Race, known as the World’s Toughest Row, on Friday 14th June from 6.30pm to 9pm

A ticket for the night includes live music from Richie Quain, canapés, Raffle and networking opportunity with the crew as well as a welcome cocktail of gin or rum kindly supplied by Salcombe Gin.

What is the Atlantic Row?
Known as the "World's Toughest Row" the crew are looking to overcome the challenge. Starting off the sunny coasts of the Canary Islands, the race will take all 30-40 teams across the treacherous seas of the Atlantic Ocean to the idyllic Caribbean Islands. The crew, made up of 3 woman and 1 man, are looking to complete the challenge in 45 – 50 days of rowing 2 hours on, 2 hours off, with the crew crossing the finish line in English harbour, Antigua.

On 12th December 2024 they will dock out from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to row 3000 miles to English Harbour, Antigua with just 8 oars, a lot of dried food, solar power and a water maker! The boat has 3 rowing positions, 2 cabins and is 28.5ft long x 5 ft wide.
