Event description

Description

Join distiller David Wood for an evening of gin tasting at the Charles Cotton Hotel in the beautiful Peak District village of Hartington. As our guest you will enjoy 6 awesome G&Ts made with the finest of craft gins from around the United Kingdom.

During the last few years there has been a huge growth in craft gin production in the UK and new distilleries are opening at a record rate with the ever increasing demand from the growing numbers of gin enthusiasts.

During this fun and informative evening, distiller and bottler David Wood will present 6 gins. Guests will taste the gins neat before mixing a perfect serve G&T with each with garnishes as suggested by the distillers.

David spent many years as a distiller in Scotland and still spends a lot of time working there, so he'll be showing one or two gins from that neck of the woods. With an abundance of local botanicals on the doorstep of each new craft distillery, Scotland is a gin distillers paradise.

David will also talk through the history of gin distilling and explain exactly how gin is made. This evening is perfect for the newcomer to gin or for the seasoned gin enthusiast!

Tickets are extremely limited and available now either here on Eventbrite, or at the Charles Cotton Hotel (01298 84229).

Please call David on 07875 405 980 for more information.
