Event description

Description

Gina Miller is a successful entrepreneur, who has in recent years campaigned over a number of important issues. She became especially well known for bringing the landmark case against the UK government R (Miller) v Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union [2017] UKSC 5. This case ensured that the government could not proceed with Brexit without the authority of Parliament. Over the past couple of years, Gina Miller has been an outspoken campaigner against Brexit and for a second referendum.

The School of Law at Royal Holloway is proud to host Gina speaking on an issue that links Brexit, and her role in the debate, with wider concerns: The Rule of Law and the Rise of Populism. We expect large numbers to attend this event, so make sure you book your place!

The talk will be followed by a Q&A and a drinks reception.
