Event description
Wide game based on the new programme around the local area, followed by 'Ask the Experts', 'Bust the myths', prize giving and more!

About this Event

All members of the six counties in Girlguiding Grampian region including leaders, unit helpers, young leaders 14+, Trefoil Guild & friends of members are invited to Ballroom Blast, a Grampian region team event taking place at the Beach Ballroom in Aberdeen and around the local area.

We hope to have around 1,000 Girlguiding members taking part and the day will be based on the new programme with an exciting wide game taking place around the local area.

Take part in the wide game as a team of up to 6 people, or join a team with others on the day. There are lots of exciting and fun activities planned around the 6 themes from the new programme, taking in lots of local attractions as well as giving back to the community and challenging yourself to learn new skills. You will be given further instructions and a kit list nearer the time.

Registration will take place in the Beach Ballroom between 10-10.30am. After a short introduction you will be set on your way to take part in the wide game. Upon return to the Ballroom, there will be opportunities to learn more about the new programme as well as Peer Education, Queen’s Guide, Residential venues and many others. This will be your chance to speak to 'Ask the Experts' about specific questions you may have and pick up new ideas and resources to take back to your units and counties. Afterwards, we will get together for a celebration aiming to finish around 4pm.

The organising team hope you will encourage as many leaders as you can to come along and join in the fun at this leader’s event, the first of its kind in Grampian. Please spread the word!
