Description

There is continued concern across families and professionals about the vulnerabity of girls on the autism spectrum, so in 2017 we held 'The big shout' conference, which was a roaring success.

Join us at our 2019 event, which is being held on World Autism Day - 'Girls and autism - Many Voices' conference to hear what has happend since last year's conference, the achievements of our 'call to action' and the advances that been achieved in this field.

This conference will cover:

  • The launch of a book about Autism and Girls, written by NAHT's Autism and Girls Forum
  • An update the work of the Autism and Girls Forum
  • An insight from the perspective of girls on the autism spectrum
  • The effective practice emerging in the field

Who should attend this conference

School leaders and SENCos from Primary, Secondary and Special Schools and Academies; clinical and educational psychologists; neuroscientists, health professionals, including speech and language therapists, psychiatrists and CAMHS teams; LA officers with responsibilities for SEND/ASD contact, LGA named links for clinical leads; parents, carers and adults with autism.

How can I book accommodation?

Please do not book travel or accommodation without checking with the Professional Development team (events@naht.org.uk) that the conference will be going ahead.

If you need accommodation on Monday 1st April, please phone Review Travel on 01625 446288 to access preferential rates. Rooms will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

If you choose to attend the Leading on SEND across all schools conference on Wednesday 3 April, you can also access preferential rates for Tuesday 2nd April.

The NAHT has the right to cancel the conference if insufficient bookings are received. The NAHT also reserves the right to change the venue prior to the scheduled date, and in this event will communicate any alterations as soon as possible.

FAQs

Do I need my membership number to book?

Yes. If you are booking a member place you will be required to enter the correct membership number. You can find your membership number by phoning membership on 0300 3030333 option 2.

Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?

Is my booking transferrable?

Bookings may only be transferred at the discretion of the Professional Development team. Requests to transfer will need to be made in writing a minumum of 7 days prior to the conference by emailing events@naht.org.uk . Transfers and cancellations may be subject to a charge.

Cancellation fees:

Within 20 working days - 25% charge
Within 10 working days - 50% charge
Within 5 working days - 75% charge
Within 2 working days - 100% charge

Can I update my registration information?

Any updates to your booking must be made in writing to the Professional Development team at events@naht.org.uk.

Does the name on the booking need to match the delegate?

The names of each individual delegate must be entered during the booking process along with a unique email address for each delegate as this will be used for the final confirmation.
