The Girls Human Rights Festival 2026 proudly presents Girls as Peacebuilders and Negotiators, a powerful day dedicated to equipping young women with the skills to influence dialogue, resolve conflict, and lead peacebuilding efforts worldwide. This event will highlight the crucial role girls and young women play in creating just, inclusive, and sustainable societies.
The day features the Masterclass by CEDR, designed to provide participants with practical tools to influence public policy and drive social change through advocacy. Attendees will gain insights into the lobbying process, ethical considerations, coalition building, and strategies for engaging decision-makers effectively. With expert speakers and real-world examples, this session will give participants the confidence to amplify their voices and make a meaningful impact.
Programme Schedule
The day begins with a warm welcome and registration at 14:30, where participants will have the chance to settle in with tea before diving into a packed programme. At 14:45, the All-Stars Panel on Girls as Peacebuilders will open the event, featuring powerful conversations with inspiring leaders and advocates.
Networking and coffee at 15:45 will offer the perfect chance to connect with fellow participants, share ideas, and build lasting connections.
The highlight of the day follows at 16:00, with the Masterclass on Skills for Peacebuilding and Negotiation led by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution. This session will provide practical tools and techniques for negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution that can be applied to both local and global contexts.
The event will close at 16:45 with a final opportunity for networking, where participants can meet sponsors, speakers, and other changemakers shaping the future of peacebuilding.
