Giulio Stermieri
Giulio Stermieri is a pianist, keyboardist and composer.
In his path he combines the study of African-American piano, improvisation, timbral research on his instruments and with electronics.
From 2012 to date he appears on about thirty records, between jazz and more experimental projects; since 2023 he has been collaborating live and in the studio with singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Any Other.
The investigation of the possible determinations of material over form, the political value of choices in languages and the tension of expectations between artist and recipient underlies his production.
From these intimate convictions comes Fort Da, an album released in October 2023 by Maple Death Records, in which the relationship with the Farfisa organ and the practice of sampling suggest new expressive trajectories.
As a soloist and in trio with Luca Dalpozzo (bass) and Federico Negri (drums), Stermieri plays in major Italian jazz clubs (Ferrara Jazz Club, Circolo del Jazz Thelonious in Trieste), participates in sound experimentation festivals (Transmissions, Piedicavallo, Hybrida Space, Holydays, Now Music) and also performs abroad, in Austria, France, Germany, Portugal, Slovenia and Malta.
Josh Curtis
Josh Curtis is a London based musician and poet. His solo set showcases his introspective and lyrical songs; surreal and dry-witted poems; and instrumental works featuring his recognisable, non-traditional viola playing. His inspiration ranges from the likes of Robert Wyatt, Harry Nilsson and Aldous Harding, to Daniel Blumberg and Mica Levi.
Luke Cowan & The Wavelengths Ensemble
Luke Cowan is a musician based in London. He has self-released a small collection of enviro-ambient works which are deeply imbued with the geography and atmosphere of the fenland landscape in which he grew up. Various configurations of piano, strings, brass and reeds form the basis of his arrangements, which are woven also with the sounds of non-traditional instruments such as pinecones, spoons, wine glasses and handfuls of grains. This open approach to arrangement, combined with a vérité approach to recording, gives his music an undeniable pastoral quality, as well as a certain vitality. Improvisation is central to Luke's creative process, and in his work he seeks to strike a balance between the preconceived and the spontaneous. His most recent album, Six Places, was released by Infinite Expanse in September 2025.
