Next Tuesday 18th October you're invited to join us at Newspeak House at 7pm for the first in our new series exploring new platforms for digital deliberation

 

We'll be exploring how social movements in Taiwan and Spain have been using online deliberation tools, such as Pol.is, and how these tools could radically alter how we perceive our democracy.

Colin Megillcolin-magil, CEO & co-founder Pol.is – Colin has spent the last two years working with activists from the 2014 Sunflower Student Movement and the Taiwanese Government on vTaiwan - a really-existing first-look at mass-scale digital deliberation in action. Find out more, here.

Dr Paulo Gerbaudo, Director Digital Culture Research Centre, Kings College London.

Paolo specialises in an understanding of the digital transformation of social movements, digital activism and participatory politics. He has a new upcoming book, The Mask and the Flag, due out next February.
