Glaciation in Snowdonia - Environmental Workshop
This workshop is designed to develop your understanding of glaciation at a global scale and also at the local, regional level. North Wales has a classical glaciated landscape with spectacular examples of glacial features and landforms. We will identify and explain the formation of these features both large and small scale including features of erosion, transportation and deposition. The itinerary on the day will depend upon weather conditions and may include a lowland glacial environment where significant ice-melt occurred with many melt-water features. A notebook, pencil and camera are useful items to bring along. It will not be a scientific day, simply exploratory, and using simple language we will demystify the jargon surrounding the topic.
This workshop is eligible for MTA, AMI, Baiml and BMG CPD points.
