6pm In Conversation: Cally Blackman and Connie Gray, hosted by Dal Chodha
This conversation between Connie Gray and Cally Blackman coincides with the launch of an exhibition at CSM celebrating the life and work of fashion illustrator Gladys Perint Palmer (GPP). Curated by Final Year Fashion Communication: Histories and Theories students, the exhibition explores GPP’s connections to the institution, which she frequently referred to as the foundation of her subsequent success as a fashion illustrator, editor and commentator. GPP’s rich archive is situated within the broader context of visual storytelling and the value of fashion illustration in representing and mediating fashion’s meanings.
The discussion will be followed by an open Q & A and an opportunity to view the exhibition in the The Street and the Library.
This event is free, but please book your ticket in advance.
