Glanrhyd Hospital is a mental health hospital in Pen-y-Fai near Bridgend. In the centre of the hospital site is a former church that has very limited use for religious purposes, and is in in a poor and deteriorating state.

A range of organisations working within the Bridgend region are working together to come up with a plan to reimagine this beautiful site. They are:

- The Bridgend Integrated Locality (ILG) at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board

- The Research, Improvement, Innovation & Coordination (RIIC) Hub, working on behalf of the CTM Regional Partnership Board

- The Accelerate Programme at Cardiff University

- Mental Health Matters

- Bridgend Association of Voluntary Organisations (BAVO)

We are seeking the view of the local community to ensure this new community facility will meet your needs. That's why we want to involve you from the very beginning and listen to what you think should happen to the Church.

We want to involve a range of people from the local area to join in with our workshop to help in the development of this community project. In this online workshop we will present some of the ideas we plan to focus on in the redevelopment of the Church. We will aim to gain feedback from those living in the area, to see how they feel about the ideas, and what it would mean to them.

For example, could we turn the building into a 'well-being cafe'?

Living in the local area is really all that is needed to be eligible for this workshop.

This is just to get your feedback on some ideas we think are possible and what will benefit the local people most.
