Join us for the Smart & Connected Social Places Event, an exciting showcase of innovation from 11 groundbreaking projects funded through the Glasgow City Region 5GIR DSIT programme. Taking place within the M1 Hall of the Scottish Event Campus, this event will offer a unique opportunity for project partners to discover the latest advancements in smart technology, connect with like-minded professionals, and explore potential areas for collaboration.

Additionally, in line with the DSIT 5G Innovation Fund’s goal to accelerate commercial investment in 5G and advanced wireless technologies, we’ll discuss the importance of connectivity in providing a platform for innovation. This is a great opportunity to explore how improved connectivity supports the development of smart technologies and enhances regional coverage, with industry representatives and experts joining us to share their insights and expertise.

The day will kick off with keynote speeches, presentations, and panel sessions, offering insights into the cutting-edge developments shaping the future of housing, connected social care and connectivity. In the afternoon, the event will focus on interactive networking and dedicated innovation showcase sessions split into the three key themes: Smart Social Assets, Connected Care & Wellbeing, and Independent Living.

As a result, the 11 projects (in addition to further guest speakers) will be grouped accordingly to a theme and will showcase their projects as follows;

Please select up to four afternoon Innovation Showcase sessions when registering for tickets. Please note that workshops will run concurrently, so you cannot select session number 1 from each theme, and so on.

If you wish to switch between themes, you are welcome to do so, but please ensure you follow the correct order of sessions as listed. Alternatively, feel free to select all four sessions from the same theme if preferred.

Finally, when registering for the event, if you wish to attend all day please confirm your 'General All-Day Admission' along with the specific afternoon sessions you wish to attend.

Please note that due to capacity restrictions, failure to book your afternoon tickets may result in limited availability for your preferred sessions. To avoid disappointment, we encourage you to carefully book all tickets in advance.
