Event description

Description

Glasgow Economic Forum (GEF) is an annual conference initiated and entirely organized by students of the University of Glasgow, a collaborative effort between the Glasgow Real World Economics Society and the Adam Smith Economics Society.

GEF has been created to fill a demand to learn more about economics outside of textbooks and offer a broader view on the topic than the typical classroom narrative. With world-renowned speakers from various disciplines, the conference is packed with ideas, discussions and fascinating insights into the world of economics and related fields. This year our audience will join us in exploring the evolving phenomenon of globalisation. What does a globalised economy imply? Who are the winners and losers? Looking through the lens of economic analysis, a selection of multidisciplinary speakers will examine the historical background of globalisation and help us comprehend its implications for the future.

As always, our aim is to offer a stimulating and balanced debate to understand the arguments on all sides.

Take this fantastic opportunity to meet like-minded people, who together with you will create and impact the future of economics.
