Event description

Description

These guided cycle tours around selected exhibitions will follow themes present in the festival programme and the city itself; environment, changing urban landscapes, and continuous regeneration. As well as being a green way to see Glasgow, getting to know its cycle routes and some of the festival’s more hidden venues, the tours will explore the past, present and possible futures of the spaces we live in.

The tour is approximately 2 ½ hours long and starts at the Mitchell Library. Cycle paths will be used as much as possible but please be aware that the route involve a small amount of on-road cycling.

Nextbike has bicycles across Glasgow, to hire for for £1 per half hour. More information here: http://www.nextbike.co.uk/en/glasgow/information/

For those interested in a longer ride, there is also the option to start at Govan subway station at 1pm. Please indicate in your registration if you would like to start the tour from here.
