Event description

Description

At the first GI since the Brexit vote in 2016, join Glasgow International and Creative Europe Desk UK-Scotland to discuss international working and the visual arts. Chaired by Richard Parry, Glasgow International, the panel will explore:

- What have international partnerships achieved in Glasgow and further afield in Scotland?

- What are the implications of Brexit for UK arts and culture?

- How might we maintain existing partnerships in Europe, and initiate new ones?

- What are the available opportunities that will enable a sustainable and connected future?

This event follows on from the recent Cross Party Group on Culture event ‘International working in the visual arts’ at the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh, and aims to provide an open platform for discussion. Confirmed speakers include Sam Trotman, Scottish Sculpture Workshop; Natalia Palombo, Many Studios; Seonaid Daly, SCAN and Kate Deans, Creative Europe Desk UK-Scotland, with more speakers to be announced soon.

Arrival and tea & coffee from 1.30pm; networking drinks after.
