Event description

Description

Glasgow International & SCAN are pleased to co-host a networking event for curators and anyone working professionally in the contemporary art sector during Glasgow International 2016.

Festival Director and Curator Sarah McCrory will present a short introduction to the festival programme which will touch upon thematic strands throughout the Directors Programme which this year includes the work of Claire Barclay, Tessa Lynch, Tamara Henderson, Cosima von Bonin, Lawrence Lek and and Sheila Hicks to name a few.

There will also be the opportunity to hear from individuals taking part in the festivals International Visiting Curators Programme supported by the British Council. The visiting curators will make short presentations that give an insight into their own curatorial practice and specific areas of research whilst in Glasgow.

Following the talks there will be an opportunity for relaxed networking and further discussion with coffee and refreshments.

Places are free but strictly limited. Please sign up early to avoid disappointment.

SCAN is a member led network committed to championing and supporting the contemporary art sector in Scotland. SCAN delivers a programme of advocacy, information sharing and networking, professional development and research activities with and on behalf of our members.
