THE PRATICAL STUFF
- Booking: Book on Eventbrite. This series is free thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Contact info@kairoswomen.org if you need further information or book a Welcome Meeting with a member of the team before you start.
- Who can come: our organisation has been designed by and for women+ in Renfrewshire. We will take a small number of bookings from those outside of Renfrewshire but please get in touch with us before booking.
- Food and drinks: There will be lunch from a local caterer provided. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
- Pantry & Free Shop: In our corridor, grab something from the free shop – clothes, toiletries, household items. Or why not see what you can find in the pantry? Lots of items to fill your cupboards.
- Children: going to another space means we aren't sure how suitable their facilities are for children, however please do get in touch if you want to bring a child and we can try to accommodate.
- Transport: We are a 12-minute walk from Paisley Gilmour Station and the main bus routes. There is a large car park in front of the building. We will need your registration number on arrival when you sign in for free parking. We will travel in minibus taxis together from Kairos to Glasgow Women's Library (25-minutes, paid for by Kairos).
- Note on the space: We are based in the Embroidery Mill, directly across from Morrisons car park and our entrance is the step-free blue door. We are not in Mile End Mill, the building with a tall tower up the road.
- Accessibility information: Our space is on the ground floor and is wheelchair accessible with an accessible bathroom. Go to our Accessibility & Inclusion page for more information. Please tell us your specific access needs during booking and we will be in touch if we need any more information to make the adaptations.
Glasgow Women's Library is wheelchair accessible with a lift to reach the second floor and accessible bathroom. For more information on what their space is like, see their Accessibility information.
- Sensory information: We use lamps in our spaces to reduce sensory overwhelm and fidget toys are available. Please let us know if you would like dimmer lighting at Glasgow Women's Library and we will let them know.
