The Glasite Meeting House is a category A-listed former place of worship of the Edinburgh branch of the Glasites, a small Scottish religious sect.At 2pm the Edinburgh Flute Choir, an ensemble of enthusiastic amateurs happy to have a go at anything written or arranged for flute, from musicals to classical will be performing.
"We like to take our flutes out and about and have played in a variety of settings from gardens and hospices, to churches and restaurants. We meet on Tuesday evenings in the charming building housing Edinburgh Society of Musicians near the West End and always welcome New members."
The Glasite Meeting House is available to hire all year round it has been the home to the @NewTownCinema, yoga classes, book launches and may parties. It is also currently the home for the Scottish Historic Buildings Trust www.shbt.org.uk who will be moving out shortly to their original base in Riddle's Court. Meaning the whole building is available to let.
