Thank you for booking a course with Glass Island Studios! You will receive an email no later than 24 hours before your course with information about how to get to the studio and a reminder of what to wear. If you do not receive this email and it is not in your junk mail folder please call or text 07799 000 467. Please ensure you have read the covid-compliance and studio safety information carefully. We will be unable to admit you to the studio if you do not follow the guidance, and no refunds will be provided in this instance. COVID COMPLIANCE The studio space allows us to safely teach up to four people from a maximum of 2 family groups / bubbles at one time, under the current guidance. If you are making a booking for more than one person you must state how many family groups / bubbles are represented in your group (max 2). You will be asked to comply with all regulations regarding covid which are in force on the date of the workshop. This includes, but may not be limited to, the wearing of face masks, physical distancing and hand sanitisation. If you feel unwell with covid symptoms in the run up to the workshop or on the day of the workshop you should not attend. In these instances bookings may be postponed to a later date at our discretion. In line with Scottish Government guidance, non-islanders who wish to take a course at the studio are asked to take a lateral flow test three days before travelling to the island and another on the day of travel, and only to travel if both tests are negative. Tests are available free and can be ordered online or obtained from your local pharmacy. Whilst this remains official government advice we reserve the right to refuse entry to the studio if you have not carried out these tests or who have received a positive result. No refunds will be issued in such circumstances. STUDIO SAFETY Please ensure you are dressed appropriately for the course, following the guidance below. We cannot admit you to the studio if you do not follow this guidance and no refunds will be issued in such an instance: - wear fully enclosed shoes (for example sandals and peep toe shoes not permitted); - tie back long hair; - avoid clothing with loose sleeves and fibres that shed. For your own comfort, if you require glasses for detailed work, please bring them with you.  Safety glasses will be provided. If you have a medical condition which makes it difficult to stand for long periods, please let me know in advance.

Event description
Make your own intricate glass hangers to brighten up your own home or gift to others.

About this event

Design and make your own glass hangings to enjoy yourself or gift to others.

This workshop will teach you the basics of cutting and shaping glass to make up to two glass hangers of your own design (suggested designs available).

Your pieces will be fired in the kiln and cooled ready for pick up or delivery the following week.  Finished items may be posted out to any UK address for an additional £5, payable on the day.

Min age 14. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult with a ticket of their own.
