Glithero - Efficient Experimentation
Event Information
About this Event
Experimentation and creativity are lovers entwined. Venturing into the unknown can be daunting, but the right approach to the journey can deliver you to completely new places. Are you keen to embrace an experimental phase in your work, but wonder where to start and how to structure your process? Are you not sure how to unlock the potential of your experiments? Or are you wondering how to wrap up a final design?
Efficient Experimentation is an online tutorial that investigates the role of experimentation in design and how good experimentation can be the key to a successful design project. It provides guidelines to productive experimentation and hands-on tips to keep the process efficient and well documented. Guided by a mix of participants’ projects and other sample projects, we will discuss the methods you can employ to elevate your work.
Subscribers to this course will receive a Zoom link for a 40 min tutorial session centred around your individual project. You are invited to share a creative (work-in-progress) project you have undertaken with other participants of the course and be part of any one of the other tutorials scheduled on the day.
The workshop centres around the idea that the best way of learning is to combine tutorials with peer to peer discussions.
We run these workshops in small groups, and talk about each project individually in an objective and friendly - but critical - online space.
Sarah van Gameren is co-founder of design studio Glithero, a studio renowned for a fascination with the way things are made, and how its products and installations are presented in museums, galleries and shops.
