Description

We would be delighted for you to join us in celebrating Global Action Plan’s 25th Anniversary!

This will be an occasion to look back at a quarter century of environmental action and a chance to share our vision for the future. The evening’s events will be divided into halves, each to be enjoyed with nibbles and refreshments.

5:30 – 6:30 it’ll be experiences and activities with your wellbeing in mind. You’ll have the chance to:

  • Explore some tai chi moves
  • Play seriously
  • View archival footage from GAP in our bean bag corner
  • Enjoy award-winning sustainable beer, plenty of wine and delicious vegetarian food

6.30 – 7.30 there will be talks and thought pieces. You'll hear from, and meet, our wonderful speakers, who will share their experiences and innovative ideas. Speakers include:

  • James Wallman, author of best-selling book Stuffocation and advocate of experiences over stuff.
  • Sarah Woods, playwright and activist, who uses the medium of story-telling to campaign for change.
  • Professor Tim Kasser, being beamed in all the way from Illinois, the renowned author and authority on materialism and wellbeing.
  • Alice Sharp, Director of Invisible Dust – an artist collective using art and performance to campaign against issues such as air pollution.
  • Professor Stephen Holgate, leading expert on the health impacts of poor air quality and author of the Every Breath We Take report.
  • Aaron Matthews, Head of Industry Sustainability at Bafta, on the importance of making TV and film plotlines more sustainability-focused.
  • Members of our very own GAP Youth Panel, talking about their work on transparency in business
