Event description

Description

You are invited to attend to the following Event.

The GCRF fund was created in 2015, with a budget of £1.5bn, to support research that “ensures UK science takes the lead in addressing the problems faced by developing countries whilst developing our ability to deliver cutting-edge research”. The challenges in winning funding via GCRF are different to those for normal EPSRC proposals however, as the proposal has to demonstrate that the research is:

  • Oriented to real world challenges and problems
  • Is a clear partnership with the LMIC countries involved
  • Is doing things WITH partners and not just FOR/TO them.

So far, in FPSE, we have not been successful in GCRF funding, so this session is designed to see how we can improve, what our problems have been to date and how we can approach new calls with the benefit of advice from those who have been successful in Southampton and elsewhere.

DO come along if you are intending to apply, or have applied and so far not been successful.
