Following the inaugural Global Design Forum which took place as part of the London Design Festival in September, the conversation as to how design can be used to create a better world comes to Hong Kong as part of the GREAT WEEK OF CREATIVITY (5–11 November 2012).
What is the Global Design Summit?
The Global Design Summit is a half-day thought leadership conference that will continue to drive the debate about the role of design today and in the future. The event follows in the footsteps of the inaugural Global Design Forum that took place in London in September 2012.
Influential and emerging designers, entrepreneurs and business leaders from the local market of Hong Kong and China, as well as individuals from the UK will identify and debate the core issues that were raised at the London event.
The aim is to shape the future agenda for design, with Summits around the world providing truly global perspectives. This is the first Summit to take place in another city and future cities are currently being considered.
The Global Design Summit in Hong Kong is being curated and delivered by the London Design Festival and is an integral event as part of the GREAT campaign to promote and leverage British creative industries.
The event, which will take place in the afternoon from 2-6pm, will be both practical and visionary: examining the state we’re in and offering fresh insights and solutions through debate and discussion.
