Event description
A FREE breakfast networking event hosted by Talent United in The Open Kitchen, Old Mill Lane campus, Barnsley College.

About this event

We are back with another FREE Talent United networking event, to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week. This time, we are joined by guest speaker James Robinson, Director of Next Step Asset Finance Ltd.

James will share his experience of working in the financial sector.

Attending this networking event will allow business professionals to meet, form relationships, recognise, create and act upon business opportunities, share information and much more.

This event is part of the College’s range of enterprise activities and workshops hosted in honour of Global Entrepreneurship Week, a campaign to promote enterprise and entrepreneurship.

This event will include a free breakfast.

Our networking event guest speaker

James Robinson of Next Step Asset Finance Ltd.

Following previous careers which included both music and education, James was introduced to the world of asset finance in 2015 and has not looked back since.

After learning the ropes with a broker in Wakefield he set up Next Step Asset Finance Ltd. and has been nominated for a prestigious National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB) Award for the last two years.

James works with businesses of all ages, shapes and sizes throughout the UK and in all sectors to support them with their purchases of new or used equipment or vehicles. By securing a monthly payment alternative for his customers, this allows them to have the assets they want without it adding pressure to cash flow.

Talent United

Talent United is Barnsley College’s employer engagement initiative, which aims to bridge the gap between education and employment. By building lasting relationships with businesses, we can provide students with meaningful employer engagements and create a culture of employment across the College. Together, we can enrich the future labour market by creating a generation of ‘work ready’ learners that are aware of the careers available to them and have the employability skills to progress into employment or further study.
